Newcomer Graphs has a long and varied history DJing and producing Drum & Bass, playing and promoting events in Atlanta since the early 2000s, but like many he has now turned his ear to footwork. Surprisingly in isolation from the scene he has hit upon one of the sounds that has seen a recent rise in popularity, House of Black Lanterns being a name that springs immediately to mind. Dark moods sweep through the schizophrenic piece which is built around a very simple but effective arpeggio that pushes forward before retreating into the horizon again and again. The patterns flutter between the spacious and patient to the frenetic and claustrophobic, a progression that works to pace the track.

I suspect that this might be seeing a release very soon so keep a look out on your favourite footwork labels.
